The CPAM's Centre d'Examens de Santé d'Avignon (Avignon health examination centre) can take blood tests, ECGs, vision, hearing and spirometry tests, carry out preventive medical examinations and offer dietary advice, by appointment and without advance payment.

Pharmacy on call (nights and Sundays)

For the night from 7.30pm to 8.30am and for Sundays, there is only one pharmacy on call for Avignon and Montfavet. This pharmacy changes every day.
On weekdays between 7.30pm and 10pm and on Sundays between 8.30am and 7.30pm, call 17 and the police station will tell you which pharmacy is on call.
Between 10pm and 8.30am, you must go to the police station on boulevard Saint-Roch with your prescription and some form of identification. The police station will then give you the address of the pharmacy on duty.

Social security for students
Are you starting or continuing your studies in higher education? In most cases, there are no further steps to take.
The essentials about your health cover as a student :
- Your carte vitale is your social security card. It certifies your entitlement to health insurance. Remember to update it at least once a year;
- You must choose and declare a preferred doctor. If you are aged 16 or over and do not have a regular doctor, you will be reimbursed less;
- As a student, you are covered by occupational accident and disease insurance (AT-MP), which covers you during your classes in workshops or laboratories.

Pass Mutuelles de la Région Sud

Students on a Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur scholarship can receive a grant from the Region of 100 euros to finance their complementary health care, from among the 3 organisations approved by the Region: HEYME, LMDE, MGEN.
The aim of this new scheme is to reduce the cost to students of their supplementary health insurance, at the level of cover of their choice.
